June 24, 2015: by Gazette, Eric Singer – Sunshine, Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb race cars and smiles all shared the spotlight on Tuesday. There was a special gathering of 25 race car drivers and 25 children and adults with disabilities, and foster children in the 4700 block of Granby Circle in northwest Colorado Springs.  Each driver was matched up with one of their fans and got to show off their vehicles. Rick Knoop is with Entropy Racing and is racing the electric modified class. For him, the need for speed is as great as the need to help others.  “I think in the long run that anytime you can give back, these kids have a special place in my heart in every community and in every town,” he said.  READ MORE…
