Zach’s Place Kids Rake in Green from Golf
October 24, 2019: On Sunday, November 10th at 11:00am, members of the Colorado Springs Country Club will present a check totaling more than ,000 to Special Kids Special Families. The money was raised during a charity golf tournament – Golfing Fore Brighter Futures For The Kids – held in September on their pristine lawns located off Templeton Gap Road in Colorado Springs. The funds will help children, families and caregivers who use Zach’s Place, Special Kids Special Families founding program.
More than 130 golfers teed it up for charity on a warm, sunny September 15th at the Colorado Springs Country Club. In addition, players were able to purchase tickets for an extensive raffle and even take part in a live auction during a prime rib lunch. This is the second year in a row the Colorado Springs Country Club has staged the fundraising event as organizer Ruthie Lohrig-Kline was extremely pleased with the turnout, “We are excited that not only our country club members but members of the business community came together to support such a great organization and we were able to raise as much as we did!”
