A “Night of Comedy” filled with craziness and laughter thanks to featured Chicago-area comic Mike Toomey was a special evening for a cause.
The nightclub dinner venue at the Doubletree by Hilton held a sold-out Oct. 1 crowd of 140 raising nearly $24,000 for Special Kids Special Families’ Zach’s Place 24/7 respite care for families with children with disabilities.
A delighted SKSF director Linda Ellegard greeted guests and shared that it’s expected Zach’s Place will provide more than 18,000 hours of care this year to a record number of youth served. A successful capital campaign drive had helped SKSF expand facilities to help meet the demand.
Programs supporting Zach’s Place (SKSFcolorado.org) also include Amazon.com purchases and recycling at Koscove Metal.
The evening’s committee included chair Karen Bennett, Lisa Kalell, Kira Davis, Mike Luginbuhl, Joyce Morgan, board president Staci Bills, Wanda Bynum, Suzie Koscove, Jessica Shubert, Jessica Crum, Adrienne Canno and Patty Brookes.
Upcoming: Bowl-a-thon, King Pin Lanes, March 12, 2017.
